Roseblood | ||
Roseblood had spent her mortal life as what may have been called at that time a witch or a healer. She was a well known street artist in Paris when her Sire finally, after years of knowing her and watching her, changed her without warning. All of her skills lead her to becoming the only chylde of one of the more powerful Toreadors of the time. He had chosen not come to Chicago when she moved here to follow the Prince. Just like her regular Sire would have been, The Prince is the one that she goes to here. The few that she lets in knows that her visions of past or future are well respected and sought out.
Orlando Beau Pre | ||
Born and raised in a brothel as a mortal, then watching his Sire burn along with his mortal family as a fledgling vampire, followed by a profession as personal body guard and assassin, Orlando has left a luridly colored past behind in New Orleans to start new ventures in Chicago, where he will surely find them, perhaps to rival the past he hopes to leave buried in the Louisiana swamps.
Atticus O’Sullivan | ||
Something is rotten in the state of Denmark. So we came to Chicago. Sherwin and I. He likes to pretend to be a sack. Tee Hee! Unlike other Kindred I like lights... lots and lots of lights. I am an agent of Malkav, sent with a specific mission, I just wish I could remember what it was... anyway... want to play a game? I just need to touch your face...

His humanity left far behind long ago, Galen has embraced his Beast, and lives in harmony with it. How he does this is a mystery. Much about Galen is a mystery. He comes and goes at no one's whim but his own. When Galen is amongst us, be alert for portentious events.

Olivia | “The details of my life are quite inconsequential… Very well, where do I begin? My father was a relentlessly self-improving boulangerie owner from Belgium with low grade narcolepsy and a penchant for buggery. My mother was a fifteen year-old French prostitute named Chloe with webbed feet. My father would womanize, he would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possesses and the insane lament. My childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring, we'd make meat helmets. When I was insolent, I was placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds – pretty standard, really. At the age of twelve, I received my first scribe. At the age of fourteen a Zoroastrian named Vilma ritualistically shaved my blossom and turned me into the immortal beloved before you. —leans to whisper Loudly— There really is nothing like a shorn blossom. It's breathtaking – I suggest you try it. I have bees in my head and I'm dead.”
Rai Baudin | Mortal | Raised in Japan until the age of 15, Rai moved to Chicago to live with his French-born father. Rai is Chicago's youngest detective at 27. He's got a knack for solving hard cases, or very, shall we say, unusual cases. Everyone wants to know how he does it. So, how does he do it? Maybe you'll find out, maybe you won't. But, there's one thing you should know, when Rai Baudin wants to solve a case, close a chapter, he does it and nothing stands in his way. |
Clara Davenport | Mortal | From a small town in Georgia, 25-year-old Clara moved to Chicago a year ago to work at WGN as the morning reporter. Blessed with good genes and intelligence, Clara is a go-getter who doesn't let little things like rules and protocol stop her from working her way around a good lead, even if it does land her in some tricky situations. This tenacity landed her a coveted prime time reporting slot while most young reporters are still navigating their first-time station jobs in rinky-dink stations across the nation. Feisty, stubborn, braver than she should be, this adorably annoying girl won't stop until she's got her story. |

Having been with Solstice since her mortal days as her personal assistant, Térèse has continued her loyal and unswerving service, joining her regnant in immortality, at least for as long as Solstice allows.
Katniss “Kat” Devlin |
Mortal (Hunter - Innocent) |
|
Katniss is a mousy librarian sort, but more than that, she is an ex-Hunter. An Innocent. After her family was murdered by another hunter when she was 16 years old, she sought her vengeance. Twelve years later she killed the hunter… blowing his head off before he could assassinate Orlando Beau Pre in New Orleans. Robert (Bobby) (NPC) Bartender |
Mortal | |
As a general NPC, Bobby is neutral in all SLs and towards all characters, playing or non-playing; he has no preferences or affiliations with any other characters. He may be used to pass messages, deliver packages, etc. to other characters, but cannot play any “active” role besides tending bar, which is the primary function of the character.
The Priest (NPC) |
Mortal (or is he?) |
|
Crotchety and old, the priest presides over the Church, and doesn’t seem to care that his ‘flock’ appears to be dwindling each night. He mumbles to himself a lot as he putters around, both inside the Church and around its grounds, including the graveyard, sometimes in Latin, sometimes in English, and sometimes in some unrecognizable speech that just gives you the creeps. Sometimes he’s nowhere to be found. As a general NPC and there mostly for ‘atmosphere’, he is neutral and has no affiliations with any other characters, playing or non-playing. While he may be used to add some depth via narrative reference in your scenes if needed, he may not play any “active” role aside from his mysterious duties as custodian of the Church.
Ambrosia Almighty | ||
With a hop, skip and twirl all around, a very spontaneous Malkavian bounced into town hearing of a Prince that ruled with a firm hand and stronger bite. It is a rare treat to pass the Rainbow Bright loving Malkavian but if you do, be sure not to be wearing silver, green or blue, or you might meet her alter personality Amber that may wish to make a treat out of you.

Now Katernia is trying to come out of her own personal hell and find her way through a city whose fears and darkness she is only just learning.
